USA SWIMMING
SoCal Aquatics (Tustin, CA) is a competitive USA Swimming–affiliated program dedicated to developing swimmers of all levels through a positive, athlete-centered environment. We emphasize technique, long-term athlete development, teamwork, and a love for the sport.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Age Group Swimming Coach
to lead and support swimmers ages approximately
6–12 . The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, skilled in stroke instruction, and committed to fostering confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship in young athletes.
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct age-appropriate swim practices focusing on technique, skill progression, and fun
Teach and reinforce all four competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes
Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive training environment
Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff
Assist at swim meets, including warm-ups and race-day coaching
Support swimmer development aligned with long-term athlete development principles
Follow all USA Swimming and Safe Sport policies
Qualifications
Prior coaching experience with age group swimmers preferred
Strong knowledge of stroke mechanics and swim fundamentals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
USA Swimming Coach Membership (or willingness to obtain)
Current CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or ability to obtain)
Passion for working with children and helping young athletes grow
