Could you be the full-time AirTrain Recovery Technician in Newark we’re looking for? Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your hands-on expertise in a dynamic, safety-critical environment. You’ll report to the Operations Supervisor (Newark) and work alongside a dedicated, proactive, and safety-focused team.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with operations and maintenance teams, respond to system failures, and perform manual interventions when needed. You’ll also conduct proactive inspections and minor corrective maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
You’ll specifically take care of recovering vehicles during system failures and restoring operations, but also inspecting subsystems and maintaining tools and work areas.
We’ll look to you for:
Responding to system failures and restoring train operations safely and efficiently
Operating trains, doors, switches, train control, and power distribution systems in manual mode when required
Performing proactive checks and inspections of subsystems (APM Rooms, Substations, etc.)
Preparing reports and daily logs as needed
Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly manner
Observing all safety practices and Standard Operating Procedures
