Position Summary
We are searching for a motivated Sr. Research Associate to drive in‑vivo studies for platform development and therapeutic proof‑of‑principle. More broadly, we are looking for an individual who enjoys working with animal models and brings scientific rigor, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and a desire to innovate new nucleic acid therapeutics. This individual will work in a dynamic, fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment as part of a highly collaborative, rapidly growing team. Key Responsibilities
Execute and analyze animal experiments to assess in‑vivo efficacy, safety, and PK/PD profiles of novel nucleic acid therapeutics. Support the design and execution of method development and pilot experiments to test specific hypotheses and drive R&D efforts with guidance. Maintain electronic lab notebooks and timely documentation of data. Provide support in additional in‑vitro assays as needed. Ensure rapid documentation of all results and observations without compromising data integrity or scientific accuracy. Effectively communicate experimental findings in oral, written, and visual formats. Work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Qualifications
BS with 5+ or MS in relevant discipline with 3+ years of industry experience. Experience executing in‑vivo studies, ideally involving gene delivery and/or nucleic acid based therapeutics in rodents. Experience dosing therapeutics via intravenous, intraperitoneal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes of administration. Experience collecting materials (blood, tissue, etc.) and supporting processing and execution of ex vivo bioanalytics. Experience with various rodent models of diseases is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, working closely cross‑functionally to achieve shared objectives. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Strong understanding of the scientific method and its application in a biotech setting to drive development and innovation with data rigor.
