Position Youth Peer Support Specialist (YPSS) – full‑time, based in Keene/Claremont with frequent travel to Concord.

Responsibilities

Provide an empathetic connection from a place of similar lived experience and an example of success in overcoming mental and behavioral health challenges.

Assist the youth in identifying personal strengths and locating clinical and community services and supports.

Maintain formal boundaries while fostering collaborative and supportive relationships.

Exercise creativity and flexibility to meet each individual youth’s unique needs.

Qualifications

Age 18‑26.

Lived experience with mental/behavioral health services or a mental or behavioral health challenge.

Access to personal transportation; willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred: prior experience or volunteering with youth, or background in social work, psychology or a related field.

Education

Required:

High School or equivalent.

Preferred:

Some college or better in Human Services or related field.
