Pay Range Base: $15.00/hr – $18.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Position Summary An Andretti Go‑Kart Mechanic anticipates guest needs and exceeds service expectations while maintaining a fun and exciting atmosphere. The role includes assisting guests and upholding Andretti Indoor Karting & Games’ high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome visitors with a friendly, positive greeting.
Project and articulate racing requirements and safety guidelines to guests confidently.
Provide a safe racing experience for every participating guest.
Perform kart repairs and regular performance maintenance checks.
Maintain proper kart appearance and functionality.
Handle emergency situations as directed.
Conscientiously maintain, repair and clean karts and tracks.
Ensure tools are used properly and stored in locked cabinets.
Process guest races in the Point of Sale and timing systems.
Observe, instruct and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
Assist with guest recovery and notify management to ensure positive experiences.
Maintain working knowledge of Andretti brand, product and policies and procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co‑workers.
Be aware of facility emergency procedures.
Perform opening, running and closing department duties as assigned.
Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
Skills & Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desire and ability to stay pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday.
Ability to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, holidays and weekends.
Physical Requirements
Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Lift up to 15 lbs. regularly.
Perform tasks that require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and occasional stocking up to 50 lbs.
Communicate quickly and accurately.
Work in environments with bright, dim, flashing lights and loud sounds.
Use manual dexterity to operate equipment.
Understand, follow and maintain safety standards at all times.
