We are hiring a Lead Carpenter / Multi-Trade Lead to execute small residential projects independently. This role is for someone who can plan, execute, and close jobs without hand-holding. You will be responsible for taking a defined scope, completing day-to-day work on site, maintaining quality, communicating with clients, and finishing projects cleanly and on time. Responsibilities
Lead and complete small residential projects (repairs, remodels, punch-list, specialty jobs)
Plan daily work, sequence tasks, and pick up materials
Perform hands‑on carpentry and related trades (framing, trim, drywall, basic electrical/plumbing coordination)
Protect existing finishes and maintain a clean, safe jobsite
Communicate clearly with clients and the internal team
Identify problems early and resolve them without drama
Maintain quality standards without supervision
Complete punch‑lists and final walkthroughs professionally
Accurately report job progress, issues, and completion
Qualifications Required
5+ years of hands‑on residential carpentry experience
Proven experience running small jobs independently
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods
Ability to read and execute from plans or written scopes
Comfortable making decisions on site
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Own basic hand tools
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for a full day
Preferred (but not required)
Multi‑trade experience beyond carpentry
Experience working directly with homeowners
Familiarity with California residential building standards
Leadership or crew‑lead experience
This role is not for candidates who:
Need daily direction to stay productive
Avoid responsibility when problems arise
Blame others instead of fixing issues
Cannot clearly explain past projects they’ve run
Assessment Requirement Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a DISC assessment through our hiring platform as part of the evaluation process.
Compensation $30 - $45 hourly
