Description Clarke Power, an industry leader, seeks an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to perform diagnostic and repair work on light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
Perform diagnostic work using computer diagnostics.
Diagnose causes of non‑conformance and identify corrective actions.
Repair basic equipment wiring.
Work independently and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Use hands to touch, handle, and feel; use arms to reach.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of relevant experience required.
Preferred – Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree.
Experience with Detroit, Cummins, Paccar, Isuzu, Hino, Mack, Volvo platforms.
ASE certifications a big plus.
State Inspector License also a big plus.
PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Must lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Must read and write reports.
Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescriptions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License.
CDL a plus.
Must obtain DOT Medical Card.
Company may assist with obtaining additional certificates/licenses.
