The University of Georgia Facilities Management Division is the largest of seven (7) divisions reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. The exceptional staff of over 900 personnel within the division manage, operate and maintain campus landscapes, buildings and infrastructure to promote the long‑term sustainability of the University.

Additional Schedule Information
Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. On occasion, employee may be required to perform duties after hours (evenings and weekends) due to emergency situations or planned work. This position will also have a on‑call rotation schedule.

Position Summary
This is skilled technical work at a journeyman level involving operating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems and components, steam and hot water boiler equipment, other gas‑fired equipment and fire protection systems. This includes systems in building as well as utility service: water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and gas distribution systems.
Duties/Responsibilities Operate, troubleshoot, repair and install steams and HW boilers, furnaces and associated equipment. (40%)
Operate, troubleshoot, repair and install building plumbing systems, related equipment and utility services (gas, water, sewer). (40%)
Interact with customers via phone and in person to coordinate work. (10%)
Prepare work related documents (work orders, vouchers, reports, purchase request, etc.). (5%)
Other duties as needed by supervisors. (5%)
