Grab Bag Assembler (Part Time) Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is looking for a part‑time Grab Bag Assembler to create ready‑to‑sell packages from donated items. The role involves inspecting, sorting, packaging, pricing, and shipping grab bags to store locations.

We operate in 10 counties, offering job training, employment services, and community programs while selling donated goods in retail locations.

A day in the life of a Grab Bag Assembler Each day you will receive boxes of miscellaneous items from stores, check quality, sort, clean, bag, label, price, and re‑box them for distribution. You may also assist with training volunteers who help assemble grab bags.

Essential Functions

Unbox donated items and inspect for quality/damage.

Separate damaged items from sellable items.

Clean sellable items as needed.

Sort items into similar categories.

Bag items.

Label, seal, and price bags.

Box grab bags and label the box for store distribution.

Keep the work area orderly throughout the shift.

Maintain an inventory of required supplies.

Follow program instructions and meet production targets.

Refer problems to management.

Follow safety rules and practices.

Perform other duties as assigned to support Goodwill’s mission.

Maintain a positive, courteous demeanor toward customers, donors, coworkers, and clients at all times.

Non‑essential Functions

Assist with training volunteers.

Qualifications

No specialized education required; on‑the‑job training provided.

Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).

Comfortable using basic tools such as box cutters, tape guns, hole punchers, and staplers.

Flexibility to work a 12‑hour week during corporate office hours.

Credentials / Screening Requirements

Subject to background check.

Ability to work within a team concept.

Subject to random alcohol and drug testing in line with Goodwill’s Drug‑Free Workplace Program.
