Sales Manager, Theatrical Distribution

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a passionate and results‑driven Sales Manager to join our growing team.

This position will directly report to the General Sales Manager for the Theatrical Sales Department at the studio.

In this role, you will support the distribution and release strategy for our films across North American exhibitors, working closely with theatrical partners, internal stakeholders, and the broader distribution team to optimize theatrical placement, execute release plans, and maximize box‑office revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Own and maintain the assigned booking territory in the US marketplace.

Assist with release goals, market analysis, and exhibitor outreach.

Help develop regional booking strategies and maintain exhibitor relationships.

Negotiate booking terms with exhibition partners.

Maximize box‑office returns in the assigned territory with strategic bookings and weekly holdovers.

Utilize distribution software (TDS and ComScore).

Maintain a healthy accounts‑receivable balance within the territory.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in sales.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Experience in data analysis with the ability to interpret and draw insights to inform decision‑making.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in movies & TV distribution/licensing.

Your compensation will include a base pay ranging from $78,500/year in the lowest geographic market up to $151,200/year in the highest geographic market, based on location and your knowledge, skills, and experience.
