Responsibilities Analysts work under the direction of a Team Manager. The analyst is responsible for performing testing on routine and non‑routine samples using chemical analysis techniques including:
Titrations and other wet chemical analyses
Ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy
Viscosity measurements, Softening Point and other polymer analyses
Total halogen, sulfur and nitrogen testing
Flashpoint testing
Analysts are also responsible for monitoring the quality of test results using statistical process control techniques and investigating failing results. Work is conducted in an environment regulated by ISO and cGMP standards.
Qualifications
Candidates with an A.S. degree in chemistry or B.S. in physical science are preferred, but not required
Candidates must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and strong time management skills
