Responsibilities Provisional Employee (PE) – Lab Analysts are part‑time positions, without benefits, and are eligible to work up to 1,200 hours in a calendar year. The duration of this assignment does not exceed 12 months. Applicants must be willing to work 12‑hour rotating shifts. Work scheduling will be by assignment on a weekly basis to cover a regularly scheduled shift, but participants must also be willing to work on a call‑in basis with notice as short as 8 hours in advance.
Perform a variety of analytical testing of raw materials, in‑process and final product samples.
Simultaneously operate a variety of analytical instruments to perform sample tests.
Use volumetric glassware, balances and dispensing devices to prepare samples for analysis.
The individual will be trained to perform the responsibilities of the job through completion of an on‑site structured training program.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry is preferred.
Prior experience in a laboratory environment or advanced (post‑high‑school) study in Chemistry or science is preferred.
Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform all of the essential elements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
