Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring an Embedded Technician for an
automotive enterprise
client to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment. The role supports an enterprise-level client, with travel expectations in the local area.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 hourly

On a case-by-case scenario, seeking candidates with availability to relocate
Certification(s):
CCURE 9000 or Milestone
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor, service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems on site and remotely from client location
Field experience installing and troubleshooting card readers, door contacts, REX motion detectors, electrified locks, duress buttons, etc.
Experience working in SQL as it relates to CCure 9000
Experience with iStar panels and auxiliary boards (input and output boards, IP-ACMs, etc.)
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnets, gateways, DNS configuration, and the differences between DHCP and static IP setups
Troubleshooting network communication issues with security devices such as access control panels and cameras
Ability to report daily to the customer's location and interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders including managers and executive staff, as well as embedded security professionals
Execute, document and track service-related issued through ticketing system (ServiceNow)
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES)
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the electronic security industry
Software House CCURE 9000 or Milestone manufacturer certifications
Knowledge and experience of ticketing systems
Available for schedule 'on-call' duties to respond to emergency service tickets/requests
Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly navigate and oversee the use of multiple systems and applications
Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to document and report important information with all levels of the organization
Ensure the completion of tasks and projects, both independently and as part of a team, to meet deadlines and contribute to the overall success of the organization
Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude, with ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on various ladder heights
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE)
Highly skilled in the electronic security industry
Additional manufacturer certifications related to access control
