Position Announcement
The Student Grader will assist the instructor in grading assignments and providing feedback to students enrolled in INFO 1200 & 2200, a foundational course in object-oriented programming principles within the IST curriculum. Summary of Responsibilities
The grader will be responsible for evaluating student submissions, identifying errors, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve their programming skills. This role requires a strong understanding of programming concepts, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Must be a current UVU student. Enrollment in an IST program or equivalent coursework with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Must have completed INFO 1200 & 2200 and received an excellent grade. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in INFO 1200 & 2200, such as Java, Python, or C++. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience with grading or tutoring in programming courses is preferred but not required.
