Job Description Press Brake / Machine Operator – 3rd Shift
Transition Note:
This position will train on 1st & 2nd shifts and transition to 3rd shift effective
February 1, 2026 .
Job Summary The Press Brake / Machine Operator will independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot assigned machinery, including
Shear, PNL, Turret, Brake Press, Robotic Cell, Cut-to-Length, Roll Forming/Seaming, Press Lock , and others as required.
Duties And Responsibilities
Independently set up, thread material through, and operate assigned machinery.
Follow daily manufacturing work orders, noting material specifications or special instructions.
Assist with the operation of other machinery under supervision as needed.
Support end‑of‑line packaging and product preparation.
Band and palletize metal coils or sheets, applying tags/labels to finished products.
Perform quality checks on lengths, widths, and weights using appropriate tools.
Achieve production goals while complying with all safety requirements.
For Roll Forming operations: mount and originate slitter knives, spacers, and guide discs for various coil widths; adjust knife clearances and vertical/horizontal gapping.
Adjust machinery based on observation and monitoring equipment feedback; perform quality control methods.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and perform daily equipment inspections.
Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Must be 18 years or older.
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Able to safely operate a sit‑down forklift; training provided if necessary. All production employees must complete CCM’s forklift certification program regardless of prior experience.
Demonstrates safe working practices and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Basic computer, math, and problem‑solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
Proficient with measuring tools (gauges, tapes, rulers).
Team player capable of following instructions from management and peers.
Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six (6) months of relevant experience.
Working Conditions
Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient/outside temperatures, dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and increased noise levels.
Training Schedule (1st & 2nd shift):
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Regular Schedule (3rd shift, effective February 1, 2026):
Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Flexibility required for occasional overtime.
