Our team of Manufacturing Associates is growing, and we have openings available for people who have worked in manufacturing for at least 2 years. You will help us make contact lenses and other eye‑care products that people count on every day.

Straight Night Shift: 6 PM–6 AM, following a 2‑2‑3 schedule with built‑in overtime and days off

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices) is helpful, but not required

Comfortable using computers and able to pick up new systems quickly

Commitment to quality work, attention to detail, and smooth operation

Objective Safely operate highly automated and technical equipment and machines in all phases of the contact lens manufacturing process in accordance with all standard operating procedures and cGMP/FDA regulations and requirements.

Key Activities

Safely operate highly automated and technical contact lens manufacturing equipment from multiple vendors in all phases of the process, including manufacturing of the contact lens, packaging, inspection, in‑process lens inspection, audit, sterilization, etc.

Ensure work is performed in accordance with established work instructions, SOPs, and procedures; provide written input to continuous improvement of procedures.

Independently identify, diagnose, correct, and document process trends, faults, and problems using complex troubleshooting procedures.

Communicate troubleshooting activities effectively.

Perform in‑process quality inspections using tools, including visual inspection, to assess product quality.

Follow all quality procedures and complete documentation to ensure compliant quality records.

Escalate issues to Team Leader/Group Leader, maintenance, or engineer; coordinate with support personnel as needed.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, test schedules, maintenance schedules, and production schedules.

Provide feedback to Team Leader/Group Leader for daily production reports (shift logs) including performance, accomplishments, and ongoing issues; coordinate creation, writing, and distribution of logs as needed.

Review production reports and shift logs for understanding of process events outside assigned work hours.

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment with plant maintenance team and other shifts.

Work independently and in a team environment; support and participate in team activities (production meetings, training, shift crossover).

Share job knowledge and help train new and existing team members on manufacturing processes and safety protocols to ensure consistent quality and operational excellence.

Participate actively in cross‑training initiatives across multiple production areas to enhance flexibility and support continuous workflow improvement.

Follow all safety procedures and practices.

Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or technical certifications in a related field (electrical, mechanical, engineering preferred).

Minimum of 2 or more years related manufacturing experience. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and experience will be considered.

Demonstrated understanding of troubleshooting.

Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.

Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new applications and programs.

Shift flexibility and ability to work overtime.

As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range for roles performed in New York State. The starting hourly pay range for this role is $18.00—$24.00 per hour.
