Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented

Junior Architectural Drafter
to support New York City-based architectural projects. This role is responsible for preparing, revising, and coordinating architectural drawing sets for DOB submissions, addressing review comments, and ensuring compliance with NYC building codes and zoning regulations. The ideal candidate has strong
AutoCAD and Revit
experience, a solid understanding of DOB requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and filing applicants. This position requires a highly productive, efficient, responsible, and reliable professional who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization throughout the DOB review process.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file architectural drawing sets for DOB (Department of Buildings) submissions.
Revise and update plans in response to DOB review comments.
Review drawings to identify inconsistencies and coordination issues.
Communicate effectively with designers and filing applicants.
Assist with New York City building code and zoning compliance efforts.
Coordinate and incorporate redlines from architects and engineers.
Ensure drawings comply with NYC DOB standards, filing requirements, and submission formats.
Maintain organized project files and track revisions throughout the DOB review process.
Perform other tasks related to the role.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with teams, leadership, providers, and clients.
Proven experience using AutoCAD (2D, 3D) and Revit.
Experience working on
New York City projects .
Strong understanding of New York City building codes and zoning laws.
Familiar with DOB (Department of Buildings) architectural drawing requirements (even if not primarily drafting).
Highly productive, efficient, responsible, and reliable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel,
Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), preferred.
Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
Compensation in USD.
Full-time position with 40 hours weekly.
