Full Time Maintenance Technician . The

Maintenance Technician

is responsible for the routine and other maintenance of the physical building and grounds including skilled functions such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Essential Functions of a Maintenance Technician

Working on HVAC-VAVS systems

Troubleshooting and repair of electrical problems

Repair of plumbing

Computer work related to HVAC Systems

Tracking and monitoring inspection program and performing necessary repairs

Basic carpentry

Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse, including injuries of unknown sources.

Painting

Ability to operate/repair when possible Fire System & Nurse Call System

Perform routine and preventative maintenance and replace/repair as needed

Snow and ice removal

Landscaping, including mowing, trimming, weeding

Picking up garbage on grounds

Room moves, moving furniture, etc.

Laying carpet

Responding to work orders and pages in a timely manner

Repair equipment including buffers, vacuums, snowblowers, lawn mowers, kitchen equipment

Inspect electrical devices for residents to ensure safety

Run computer and phone lines

Repair of wheelchairs, gerry chairs, walkers, and related equipment

Assembly and repair of electric and hydraulic beds.

Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).

Physical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

Repetitive lifting of 50 pounds

Repetitive pushing of 200 pounds

Maintenance Technician Qualifications

Acquire working knowledge of practices and principles of housekeeping and maintenance tasks

Able to learn, operate, and maintain cleaning equipment and materials

Able to follow both written and verbal instructions and maintain required record

HVAC experience preferred
