Overview Owens Corning Production Operators are responsible for a variety of duties on our manufacturing floor. The Medina Roofing plant has been making roofing shingles for over 50 years and this role may open doors to career opportunities within Owens Corning Roofing & Asphalt.
We operate 24 hours a day, so schedules are variable. As a full‑time team member you will work 36 hours in one week and 48 hours the following week, with potential overtime.
This is a physical job. You will be on your feet for 90% to 95% of the shift, the environment is loud, and temperature control is limited.
The general plant environment is influenced by seasons and weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Setting up raw material along the line
Maintaining and troubleshooting the shingle machine
Clearing jams
Inspecting the quality of finished product
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work 12‑hour shifts
Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation
