Responsibilities
Count material in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Compare actual inventories to records in Metalware.
Adjust errors in computation or count and/or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
Assist in other areas of operations as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED or one‑year certificate from college or technical school.
Experience in the metals industry is preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Willingness to learn mainframe system (internal computer system).
Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, or other measuring device.
Willingness to learn to operate forklift, side loader, and cutting equipment.
Knowledge of basic math skills.
Physical Demands
Standing, sitting, stooping, and kneeling.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, with assistance.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Willingness to work in an environment with varying temperature degrees.
