About the Position:

You will serve as the Chief, Law Enforcement Branch, overseeing supervisory positions, with responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, and controlling comprehensive security programs to protect lives, critical assets, information, operations, and civil rights of others.

This position will be filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in Department of Defense (DoD).

Duties

Serve as technical authority and expert in the field providing security planning, decision making and policy development.

Lead others in carrying out law enforcement duties.

Monitor access control throughout the installation.

Develop security programs to protect lives, critical assets, information, operations, and the civil rights of others.

Ensure compliance with and enforce a full range of federal, state, local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Administer the organization’s quick reaction force program.

Oversee other Investigators, security specialists, officers and Guards within the installation.

Requirements

This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing thereafter to obtain and maintain employment in this position.

This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.

This position requires successful completion of a physical agility test and an annual physical agility examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and fitness to perform the duties of the position.

This position requires participation in the installation's Work Strengthening Program involving regular physical fitness training.

This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Medical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

This position requires successful completion of training in hazardous material awareness, incident command structure, anti-terrorism activities, and chemical/biological, threat countermeasures, and other designated training.

This position requires completion of emergency response vehicle/operator training.

This position requires the incumbent to graduate from U.S. Army Military Police School (U.S. AMPS) or equivalent training.

One (1) year Supervisory Probationary Period required.

This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
