Job Summary About the Position: You will serve as the Chief, Law Enforcement Branch, overseeing supervisory positions, with responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, and controlling comprehensive security programs to protect lives, critical assets, information, operations, and civil rights of others. This position will be filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in Department of Defense (DoD).

Job Description

Serve as technical authority and expert in the field providing security planning, decision making and policy development.

Lead others in carrying out law enforcement duties.

Monitor access control throughout the installation.

Develop security programs to protect lives, critical assets, information, operations, and the civil rights of others.

Ensure compliance with and enforce a full range of federal, state, local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Administer the organizations quick reaction force program.

Oversee other Investigators, security specialist, officers and Guards within the installation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Overseeing law enforcement operations ensuring application of federal crime codes; 2) Controlling access to installations or facilities; 3) Communicating with public and/or other emergency personnel to respond to emergency situations; AND 4) Assessing situations to determine the need for specialized operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Access Control Accountability Critical Incident Response Managing Human Resources Security

Compensation $105,481-$137,128 per year
