As the
Assistant Camp Director , you support the Camp Director by leading
day‑to‑day operations
across departments - including program, facilities, office/store, and housekeeping. You
supervise
the Program Manager and help ensure
high‑quality, mission‑aligned experiences
for campers and staff. You will spend your summer coaching department leads, coordinating between departments, overseeing safety and operations, and helping
make sure every part of camp runs smoothly and consistently. Full Job Description:
Assistant Camp Director - 2026 Job Description What You Will Do
Supervise
and
coach
the Program Manager and support other department leads. Review and guide program schedules, routines, and procedures to
ensure quality experiences. Coordinate operations
between departments to prepare for daily and weekly needs. Serve as the Camp Health Supervisor during coverage periods, providing
first aid support
and ensuring health protocols are followed. Serve as acting Camp Director during the Camp Director’s absence. Support safety compliance, emergency response planning, and
staff training. Your work helps ensure camp runs smoothly at every level
– from daily operations to leadership decisions that shape the staff and camper experience. Who We Are Looking For
21 or older. 2+ years
of camp leadership or equivalent supervisory experience. Strong and clear
leadership , communication, and organizational skills. Able to manage multiple priorities in a
fast‑paced environment. Calm
under pressure and able to
problem‑solve
quickly. Excellent
customer service
skills based in empathy. Current
Wilderness First Aid
or Responder certification w/ CPR (or able to obtain). Confident providing first aid and supporting
general health needs
for campers and staff. Valid
driver’s license
and comfort with
basic technology
systems. Someone reliable who
shows up
on time and
works hard. We treat staff like adults.
