Position Title Associate Director of Athletics Performance for Football

Responsibilities The University of Louisiana at LafayetteAthletics Department is seeking a qualified Associate Director of AthleticPerformance for Football. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletic Performance for Football and will work only with the Football team.

The Associate Director of Athletic Performance for Football is responsible for assisting with the implementation and development of performance programming for football in accordance with the Athletic Performance Department and NCAA regulations.

The Associate Director of Athletic Performance for Football is also responsible for coordinating with Sports Nutrition.

This position will oversee the Assistant Directors of Athletic Performance for Football and the Athletic Performance interns.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred) from a regionally accredited institution.

1-2 years of collegiate athletic/sports performance or comparable experience required.

Must be certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Current on CPR/AED and first aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred) from a regionally accredited institution.

Skills, Abilities, Etc.

Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi-cultural populations.

Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics program.

Ability to work extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
