Responsibilities The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Director of Athletic Performance for Football. This position will report directly to the Deputy Director of Athletics/SWA and will work only with the Football team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Athletic Performance for Football is responsible for the overall implementation and development of performance programming for football in accordance with the Athletic Performance Department and NCAA regulations.
The Director of Athletic Performance for Football is also responsible for coordinating sports nutrition.
This position will oversee the Athletic Performance Football staff and the Athletic Performance interns.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
2-3 years of collegiate athletic/sports performance or comparable experience required.
Must be certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and current on CPR/AED and first aid certification.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Skills, Abilities, Etc.
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi-cultural populations.
Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics program.
Ability to work extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
