Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Paint Assistant
to support paint preparation and masking operations in a manufacturing environment.
This role focuses on proper part preparation, organization, and movement through the paint process while maintaining safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
The
Paint Assistant
plays a key role in ensuring parts are ready for painting and handled correctly throughout the workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Read and follow work orders, instructions, and sketches
Sand, strip, tape, and mask parts prior to paint application
Arrange parts on tables or racks for efficient workflow
Move parts through the paint process while maintaining product traceability
Coordinate workflow with painters and production leadership
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required or obtainable)
Maintain clean and organized paint and racking areas per Ultraclean/6S standards
Handle customer-supplied products with care
Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
Support quality standards to meet or exceed customer expectations
Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Candidates without a diploma/GED may be required to complete a pre- employment assessment
Previous paint or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read, write, and comprehend American English
