Our client is seeking an
Epic Medical Analyst
support, maintains, and optimizes Epic EHR modules to improve clinical workflows and enhance patient care. This role partners closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure Epic systems function efficiently and meet organizational needs.
Location: Jamaica, NY
Responsibilities
Provide end‑user support, training, and documentation for Epic functionality.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and user guides.
Utilize Epic reporting tools to extract, analyze, and present data for decision‑making.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Epic modules to ensure optimal system performance.
Analyze clinical and operational workflows; recommend and implement Epic‑based improvements.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.
Conduct system testing, validation, and quality assurance for upgrades, patches, and new functionality.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and user experience.
Qualifications / Must Haves
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general IT troubleshooting.
5+ years of experience in Epic system support, build, or maintenance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, Healthcare IT, or a related field.
Epic Certification in one or more relevant modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Clinical Documentation)
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and EHR best practices.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a hospital or healthcare system environment.
Experience with multi‑module Epic environments or cross‑functional workflows.
Additional Epic certifications or proficiency in reporting tools (e.g., Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Radar)
