Bachelor of Social Work preferred* Five years’ experience in a managed care or medical office/hospital environment.* Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Required. Expert proficiency in conversational, reading, writing, and translating medical terms as well as diagnoses. Must pass Spanish test prior to hire.**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:*** Superior verbal and written communication including motivational interviewing and adult learning principles.* Familiarity with basic medical terminology and ICD-9 and CPT coding.* Personal computer skills. Expertise with various software applications/databases (i.e., Microsoft Office).* Highly organized, ability to prioritize, and demonstrate complex problem solving skills.* Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.* Demonstrated care coordination concepts.**Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:*** Licensed Bachelor Social Work preferred.* Certified Community Health Worker required.**Cook Children's Health Plan**Cook Children's Health Plan provides vital coverage to nearly 120,000 people in low-income families who qualify for government-sponsored programs in our six county service region.
