is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our St. Johns Hospital location in Maplewood, MN. This position includes a $15,000 sign on bonus!
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician. Follows defined treatment protocol according to department policies. Collects, assesses, interprets, and intervenes as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Ensures patient welfare and safety standards during treatments.
Schedule This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on nights.

Shift differential incentives:
$4.00/hr for nights

Responsibilities
Assessing patient needs and identifying expected outcomes.
Implementing respiratory interventions based on plan of care.
Evaluating care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
Operating and maintaining all Respiratory Care equipment.
Required Qualifications
A.A./A.S. in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (American Heart Assoc) at Lakes, Northland, Ridges, UMMCH, Southdale, Woodwinds and St. Johns within 180 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc) at Lakes, Northland, Ridges, Southdale, Woodwinds, St. Johns, Bethesda and UMMC within 180 Days
Preferred Qualifications
B.S./B.A. in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field experience
1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience in a clinical setting
