The Opportunity TECKpert is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support TECKpert’s client, a government agency in South Florida. This role supports the implementation of a complex, large-scale enterprise application within a local government environment. The Business Analyst will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to define requirements, support system implementation, and ensure successful delivery of business solutions.

This is a hybrid role and requires availability for onsite meetings as needed. Candidates must be located in South Florida.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Analyze and document existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement

Gather, define, and manage business and system requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Develop as-is and to-be process flows, functional specifications, user stories, and related documentation

Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders

Support software implementation efforts from requirements through deployment

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to elicit requirements

Manage requirements traceability and ensure alignment with project objectives

Support change management activities, including impact assessments and end-user support

Assist with testing efforts including test planning, test case development, and UAT coordination

Prepare training materials and support end-user training activities

Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders

Identify risks and issues and proactively recommend mitigation strategies

Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to

$98,000

per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you

need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT software implementations

Proven experience working in large, complex organizations

Strong experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies

Extensive experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and process modeling

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience supporting vendor-based system implementations

Experience in public sector or government environments

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps

Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and executive-level communications
