Our client, a law firm with offices throughout the world, has an immediate need for an experienced
Insurance Litigation Attorney
to join our growing team in Garden City.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience with first and third party coverage evaluations and litigations, primarily in the context of commercial lines policies (general liability, business owners type policies).
The candidate must have at least 3 years of insurance coverage experience and possess strong research and writing skills.
Some litigation experience (discovery, depositions, motion practice) is preferred, as the position will involve both the evaluation of insurance coverage issues and the litigation of insurance coverage disputes.
Trial experience is not required but is always valued. New York admission is a must; New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania admission is a plus.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
Dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
Superior organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, adversaries, and courts.
Excellent interpersonal, networking, and business development skills.
1-4 years of litigation experience; some experience with insurance litigation is a plus but not required.
Strong writing and case management skills, with experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills.
