Pastor of Families and Discipleship We are seeking a gospel-centered and relational Pastor of Families and Discipleship to join our pastoral team. This individual will work closely with the other pastors to provide general pastoral care and spiritual oversight for the congregation. A primary focus of this role is to develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy that nurtures spiritual growth across all ages and stages of life.

Student Pastor Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alexandria, AL is prayerfully seeking a Full‑Time Student Pastor to lead and grow our middle school and high school ministry. This pastor will have the opportunity to invest in a thriving and active student ministry of 80–100 students in grades 6–12, helping students grow in their faith and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.

Position Overview The Student Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, vision, and direction for all aspects of student ministry, while partnering closely with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to disciple students and families.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, disciple, and pastor students in grades 6–12

Plan and lead weekly student worship gatherings, small groups, events, and retreats

Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for student ministry

Recruit, train, and oversee a team of paid staff and volunteers

Build strong, intentional relationships with students and their families

Partner with parents to support spiritual formation in the home

Coordinate and support student outreach, missions, and service opportunities

Collaborate with church staff to support the overall mission and vision of Mt. Zion Baptist Church

Qualifications

A growing and evident personal relationship with Jesus Christ

A calling and passion for student ministry

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to lead teams, equip volunteers, and work collaboratively with staff

Experience with larger student ministries

Alignment with the beliefs and mission of Mt. Zion Baptist Church

Worship Pastor Principal Function: The Worship Pastor is responsible to the church for the development and promotion of the music programs of the church. He will also oversee the technology typically used in worship services. He will also train and enlist volunteers to serve on the Worship Team. This is a full‑time position.

Responsibilities

Meet regularly with the Pastor and Ministerial Staff for planning, evaluating, and coordinating ministries of the church.

Work with staff to achieve the objectives of the church.

Participate in pastoral care including in‑reach and outreach.

Plan, organize, conduct, and enlist workers/volunteers for music programs.

The Worship Pastor must be comfortable leading a praise band that traditionally has played “blended” worship sets.

Be prepared to develop and lead a choir.

Be prepared to develop and lead the RHBC praise team.

Coordinate with the Pastor in selecting music for regular and special worship services – including weddings, funerals, and special events.

Monitor the purchasing of all music and worship technologies/software.

He must be proficient in the usage of software/programs that are commonly used in worship services (CCLI, Song Select, Pro Presenter, etc.)

Assist in preparation of the annual budget with respect to worship, technology, and other music related line items.

Lead in preparation of Holiday worship programs (primarily Christmas and Easter).
