Interim Worship Pastor
The Interim Worship Pastor is a temporary, part-time position. It is offered on an “as-needed” basis. Responsibilities
The Interim Worship Pastor will be responsible for the preparation, practice, and leading of the Sunday worship services. He will be expected to be in the office on Wednesdays. The Interim will also be on premises for practice with the RHBC band. He will coordinate with RHBC musicians, vocalists, and staff regarding song selections, elements of worship, and special events on Sundays. The Interim coordinates with our part-time technology employee regarding any technological needs or issues. He would also need proficiency in CCLI, Song Select, and Pro Presenter. He will be available to lead worship and assist families from RHBC with regard to wedding and funeral services. The Interim Worship Pastor must be comfortable leading a praise band that traditionally has played “blended” worship sets. We typically have hymns and praise songs in set-lists. How to apply

Gordon Heights Baptist Church located in Cairo, GA is seeking a Full Time Student Ministries Pastor to join our ministry team. We are committed to being an evangelistic church that reaches all neighbors, all nations, and all generations with the gospel. As the Student Ministries Pastor, you will oversee the individual spiritual growth of the students within the student ministries at Gordon Heights. This starts from before they begin a relationship with Jesus at birth, through their continual maturity as they graduate high school. The Student Ministries Pastor role includes leading our Youth, and Children’s Ministries. The Student Ministries Pastor must be relatable to the students with an emphasis on guiding, teaching, and growing the student’s love for Christ and others while living a life of grace and modeling responsibility and accountability while focusing on building relationships with them and their parents. You would be directly responsible for leading students in 6th – 12th grade in weekly Bible studies, taking students to a summer camp, leading students in local mission opportunities, and other activities/events that serve as a bridge to reach students in the community with the gospel and connect them to the church. You would be responsible for leading and giving oversight and direction to our children’s ministry. You would lead an already established team of Children’s Ministry Volunteers and give guidance where needed. The Student Ministries Pastor role will be to work with all parents to help them disciple their students and attempt to minister to unchurched/unbelieving parents. The Student Ministries Pastor will work with volunteers in the student ministries to ensure a safe, healthy, and fun environment. You must model strong and relational Christian leadership to the youth. You must also have a passion for Jesus, excellent communication skills, and desire to help students know and follow Jesus. This role will work closely with the Senior Pastor in many ministry areas. You also must be able to fill the pulpit in the absence of the pastor. Our church is Southern Baptist in values and doctrine. We adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We run 100+ in worship attendance and presently have a good core group of active youth and children. We are seeking a called energetic individual with a passion and calling for ministry in this area who desires to grow. Serving as Worship Pastor, he will oversee and lead a worship team to guide the congregation in worship services and special programs, coordinating service details based on the theme and overall direction established by the Senior Pastor. The Worship Pastor will be a team-builder with communication and interpersonal skills developing a disciple-making culture within the worship team. The position is pastoral, requiring service not solely in leading the music ministry but also as a spiritually mature shepherd to The River Family.
