Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit.
Weekend requirement: Minimum of 4–5 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) per 6‑week schedule period and minimum of 2 Friday's per 6‑week schedule.
Certifications required: BLS, NRP (STABLE preferred)
Skills required:
Work Settings: Mother/Baby, NICU II.
Patient Types: Neonates 29–34 weeks, Neonates > 34 weeks.
Endocrine/Metabolic: Blood glucose monitoring.
Gastrointestinal: Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage).
Infectious Disease: Isolation Precautions.
IV therapy: Central Line/Implanted Line Care, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter).
NEUROLOGIC: Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
Professional Topic and Skills: Patient/family teaching.
Special Equipment: Standard NICU equipment: IV pumps, syringe feeding pumps, phototherapy equipment, incubator/isolette/Omnibed/radiant warmers, neonatal echo available; Telehealth for neonatologist support/consultation.
On‑call requirement: Yes. 2 mandatory call shifts every 6‑week schedule.
Clincian float within scope to meet facility needs: Yes – well newborn nursery/postpartum, regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
Open to block schedule: No.
Locals accepted: No; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
