As a Maintenance Technician Assistant, you will assist others in planning and coordinating maintenance activities for a facility to ensure safe, efficient, and quality work is performed. Cleaning and maintaining building mechanical and electrical rooms, as well as performing various maintenance tasks as needed, are key responsibilities.
Responsibilities/Expectations
Assist the building technicians with maintenance and repair of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and other related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Cleans and maintains building mechanical and electrical rooms.
Re-lamps lights in the building mechanical and electrical rooms; assists light porter with difficult-to-reach lighting.
Paints in mechanical rooms as needed.
Assists with restroom maintenance as needed.
Picks up parts as needed in company vehicle.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years related experience.
Other Requirements
Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and prioritizes safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements
Willing to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as needed.
Willing to work flexible and rotating shifts.
