Job Title: Production Technician Job Description to finish, known as a pack line. Responsibilities include processing products, monitoring products being loaded into bags, operating scales to ensure proper weight, manually sealing bags, palletizing material, and ensuring proper labeling. The role also requires powder handling and physically demanding tasks such as lifting at least 50 lbs regularly, and dumping or pumping corrosive liquid/dry materials into tanks. The work environment is dusty and non-temperature controlled.

Responsibilities

Process products from start to finish on the pack line.

Monitor product loading into bags and operate scales for proper weight.

Manually seal bags, palletize material, and ensure proper labeling.

Handle powders and manage physically demanding tasks such as lifting 50 lbs regularly.

Dump or pump corrosive liquids/dry materials into tanks.

Work Environment This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa. The work schedule is 1st shift, 6am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with busy season from December to May, leading to potential overtime and 10-hour workdays. The Mill Team consists of 8 people, and candidates should be comfortable with varying workloads. The environment is dusty, non-temperature controlled, with strong fumes due to chemical manufacturing. Uniforms and shoe protection are provided by the company.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
