The position is full time, and the hours are 5:30a-2p, Mon-Fri with on-call responsibilities every other weekend. Candidates with experience and a willingness to be part of a great team are encouraged to apply.

Summary:

Oversee the maintenance of 194 cottages on the Community’s campus and the Clubhouse/Pool.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all facets of cottage maintenance as covered by cottage agreements. This includes structural, remodeling, plumbing, and electrical work, water softeners, water heaters, telephone and cable hook ups.

Maintain the Clubhouse and swimming pool, including overseeing that it is cleaned by the Maintenance Coordinator / Housekeeper, collaborating with the Housekeeping Manager to provide assistance as needed.

Maintain a record of maintenance repairs performed on each cottage.

Maintain a stock of common bench stock items and necessary tools.

Has sole responsibility for a Community owned vehicle, to be used for transportation and storage of bench stock and tools.

Maintain cottages while residents are away for a protracted stay.

Responsible for keeping their work areas clean and organized.

Responsible for contacting outside contractors for repairs when needed.

Maintain specific outside light poles around the Community property.

Work with the Maintenance Coordinator / Housekeeper to coordinate repair work requests.

Confer with Executive Director as needed to prioritize work requests and obtain authorization for high dollar repairs/renovations.

Report any adverse cottage conditions to the Executive Director.

Collaborate with Cottage Sales Director on cottage renovations/upgrades.

Provide oversight of logistics and collaborate with Housekeeping Manager and Grounds Director to facilitate resident moves from a cottage to another area of campus.

Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent is required (one to three months’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification : Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable

Experience:

HVAC plumbing and electrical required, maintenance experience in a maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred.

Knowledge of equipment in the cottages and general maintenance.

Have skills in using hand and electrical tools and equipment.

Must have ability to supervise effectively.
