The
Building Maintenance Technician
is responsible for building and property maintenance, clearing debris and refurbishing the building components to ensure quality guest experience.
Duties:
Performs routine inspections and repairs to all areas of the property.
Respond promptly to all aspects of hotel construction maintenance to include paint, carpentry, wallpaper, tile and marble, plumbing, electrical, and hotel rooms and halls.
Work efficiently and safely with all hand and power tools.
Provide training and guidance to new hires and coworkers on general operations, equipment operations, and safety standards.
Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions to management.
Conducts regular safety inspections and addresses any potential hazards to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Annual completion of Respirator training and fit test.
Qualifications:
Maintenance experience in home renovations, hotel operations or facilities is preferred.
Available to work flexible hours including overtime, holidays and weekends as needed.
Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to solve problems and work under pressure.
Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
