We are seeking an experienced Material Handler / Inventory Specialist to join our team on 1st Shift (M-F 7:30am – 5:00pm). This person is responsible for the safe and accurate handling, storage, and movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods within an aerosol manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production operations, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Forklift experience is required.
Job Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, components, and packaging supplies
Stage materials for production according to work orders and production schedules
Transport finished goods to designated storage or shipping areas
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
Label, store, and handle flammable materials and aerosols in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures
Ensure proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and segregation of materials
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Report damaged materials, safety hazards, or inventory variances to supervisor
Follow all company policies related to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and material flow
Qualifications
Must have forklift experience
(sit‑down, stand‑up, or pallet jack); certification preferred
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1–2 years of material handling and/or inventory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Experience working with inventory systems or warehouse management software
Ability to read work orders, labels, and safety data sheets (SDS)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerosol, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environments
Knowledge of handling flammable materials or hazardous goods
Familiarity with OSHA and DOT requirements related to material handling
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely
Work in an environment with noise, temperature variations, and flammable materials
Work Environment
Manufacturing and warehouse setting
Exposure to aerosols, compressed gases, and flammable materials (with appropriate safety controls and PPE)
