Job Description The Patient Ambassador plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by proactively engaging with patients on priority units and newly admitted patients within the hospital. The Ambassador will follow a structured script and adhere to training guidelines provided by Aramark to perform daily patient rounds, setting clear expectations for environmental services and addressing any concerns or service recovery needs in real time.
Job Responsibilities
Perform patient rounding
Serves as liaison between patients, families, guests, and staff to promote a positive patient experience
Receives and documents complaints and compliments, and report in real-time to resolve
Engages relevant clinical or management staff to evaluate and respond to patients needs
Establish and encourage open communication to enhance the overall quality of service
Follow all facility and departmental policies and procedures
Maintains an accurate record keeping system for quality control systems
Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment
Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations
Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation and client contract
Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes

Qualifications
Requires 1-2 years of experience in Environmental Services within a healthcare setting
Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively
Customer service experience a plus
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions and work independently after appropriate training and instruction
Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude towards customers, co-workers, and clients
