Atrium Health/Wake Forest University is recruiting a full-time subspecialty PA or NP for outpatient, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) section within our department in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Candidates interested in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to pelvic pain are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior experience in similar surgical subspecialties (e.g., Urology) is not required but highly desirable.
Responsibilities/Opportunities
Outpatient evaluation and postoperative assessment for patients with complex, benign gynecologic conditions, including management of chronic pelvic pain.
Provide collaborative care working with a large interdisciplinary team (pelvic floor physical therapy, colorectal surgery, urogynecology and urology).
Perform procedures such as IUD insertion, endometrial biopsy, trigger point injections.
Educate learners, with the opportunity to expand your skill set via national conference attendance (e.g., IPPS foundations course) and monthly multi-disciplinary patient care conferences.
The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
