About Us: Embark on a journey with Apple Playschools’ Apple Scouts program, a gender‑inclusive, multi‑age outdoor camp that believes in connecting every child to the wonders of the natural world. As part of the global movement to "rewild" childhood, our campers explore nature through hiking, building, creating, and playing in all kinds of weather. Apple Scouts grow alongside local flora and fauna, fostering meaningful experiences and trust‑filled relationships that shape the environmental stewards of tomorrow.

Your Role: As an Apple Scouts Camp Counselor, you will collaborate with the Camp Director to plan and execute engaging activities. Get ready to be active outdoors, from hiking to playing, in all weather conditions. Lead off‑site adventures and walks, including public transportation journeys with our enthusiastic campers.

Seasonal, full‑time hourly position (early June to late August)

Competitive pay ranging from $16 to $17.50/hour, commensurate with experience

Your Impact:

Designing learning activities and creating unforgettable experiences

Providing exceptional partnerships with campers, parents, and community members

Contributing to a fun, welcoming, and organized environment

Ensuring the safety of participants, reporting any concerns as per licensing guidelines

Delivering first‑aid and emergency care when necessary

What You’ll Need – The Must‑Haves:

Love being around kids!

Attend

MANDATORY staff training June 8-12

Love the outdoors!

Able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions

Able to lift 20+ lbs with or without accommodation

Able to pass our background check process

At least 18 years of age

Able and willing to obtain (or already have) Adult and Child CPR/First Aid certification

Prior experience working with children

Previous work experience (part‑time, volunteer, full‑time, etc.)
