Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a
Health and Safety Specialist
role based in Burlington, WA. Our client is a well‑established industry leader known for operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a strong commitment to employee safety. With a focus on continuous improvement, they take pride in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient operations across their facilities.
Schedule & Pay:
Mid Shift:
12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
$28/hr – $35/hr
Relocation assistance available if needed
Key Responsibilities:
Support and manage workplace safety and compliance programs in accordance with OSHA/OHS regulations.
Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
Conduct incident, accident, and near‑miss investigations, including root cause analysis.
Implement preventive and corrective actions to reduce workplace risk.
Perform safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Support emergency response planning and drills.
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
Ensure compliance with state and local safety statutes, including fire safety, hazardous chemicals, environmental, building, electrical, noise, and pollution regulations.
Participate in ISO initiatives, including audits, documentation, and system development.
Collaborate with operations and leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience managing or supporting workplace safety and compliance programs.
Working knowledge of OSHA / OHS regulations.
Familiarity with state and local safety regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Construction Occupational Safety and Health, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of emergency response planning.
Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Ability to implement effective preventive and corrective actions.
Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
certification.
Experience with
WISHA
and
Washington State Labor & Industries .
ISO experience or exposure.
