We are looking for a Sr. IT Project Manager — Epic Applications to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Role Overview Lead complex, multi‑site implementations and optimizations of
Epic clinical applications
across a healthcare environment. You’ll drive cross‑functional delivery (clinical, revenue, and technology teams), manage stakeholders, schedules, and risk, and ensure outcomes are aligned with patient care, compliance, and operational excellence. This role is remote from Columbus, OH with travel to clinical locations and partner sites.
Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end project delivery for Epic clinical app initiatives (e.g., inpatient, ambulatory, orders, documentation, device integrations).
Build and manage project plans, scope, timelines, RAID logs, and budgets; report progress to leadership and clinical governance.
Coordinate Epic analysts, interface/integration teams, clinicians, vendors, and change management resources.
Facilitate requirements, workflow validation, testing (unit, integrated, UAT), cutover planning, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
Drive risk mitigation, issue escalation, and decision alignment across executive, clinical, and IT stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory/compliance expectations (security, privacy, data governance) and PMO standards.
Prepare executive‑level status updates, metrics, and lessons learned; champion continuous improvement.
Qualifications
5+ years of IT project management experience; healthcare/hospital environment required.
Hands‑on Epic Clinical Applications project delivery (implementation, optimization, or upgrade) across multiple care settings.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; adept at translating clinical workflows into technical plans.
Proficiency with PM tools (e.g., MS Project/Jira/Smartsheet), RAID management, and formal change control.
Nice to have: Epic module familiarity (e.g., ClinDoc, Orders, Stork, Beacon), Epic certifications or Badges, interface/integration experience (HL7/FHIR), and go‑live command center leadership.
