The Marketing Associate reports to the Director of Growth and will work closely with the marketing and communications team. They will be responsible for supporting brand initiatives, producing engaging but compliant content, and helping deliver a high-quality marketing experience to our clients and team. You’ll be involved in a variety of creative projects, including our podcast, radio show, and digital content.
Responsibilities The responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, and additional duties may be assigned.
Graphic Design and Content Creation:
Design digital and print graphics, such as flyers, social media posts, and marketing collateral, utilizing Canva and other design programs
Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets
Collaborate on content ideas while partnering with the Compliance Team to ensure all creative content meets industry, regulatory, and firm guidelines
Social Media and Video Support:
Assist in planning, producing, and editing video content
Capture and edit video for social media
Support execution of the firm’s social media strategy and content posting schedule
Submit all social media content for compliance review and revise according to feedback
Email & Marketing Campaigns:
Help manage campaigns, including email blasts, workflow updates, and contact segmentation
Assist with reporting and analytics for email and campaign performance
Ensure all automated content, templates, and messaging adhere to compliance standards
General Marketing Support:
Manage marketing department compliance logging, digital asset libraries, and marketing request queue
Support events, webinars, and seminars
Research industry trends, marketing tools, best practices, and compliance considerations
Perform administrative and project-based tasks to support the marketing and communications team
Specific Measures of Success:
High degree of pride in the accuracy and quality of your work product
Quickly responds to requests and resolves open tasks
Proactively eliminates obstacles before they become issues
Demonstrates efficiency in working with multiple stakeholders across multiple sites by leveraging firm resources and tools
Job Requirements Education, and Industry/Business Experience A college degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or related field – OR one to two years of relevant marketing/communications experience
Skills and Knowledge
Always focused on client needs and customer service
Creativity and curiosity: You enjoy brainstorming and finding ways to make things better
Intermediate knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, a plus), and basic video editing software skills
Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, and website maintenance.
Expert in most Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with email marketing platforms and automation tools, such as HubSpot. Comfortable learning and navigating new technology and software applications.
Highly detail-oriented and methodical; takes initiative.
Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects, following through to completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build partnerships across all levels of the organization.
Requirements/Additional Information
The annualized starting base salary range is $60,000-$75,000 based on experience, with the opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of earnings. This is a non-exempt position. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable law.
This individual will report to the Director of Growth
After the first 90 days of an in-office, extensive onboarding and training program, and with manager approval, the candidate will be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement— allowing a specified number of remote workdays per month in accordance with the firm’s hybrid work policy.
The Candidate may need to travel between our various offices on occasion; all locations are within driving or train distance of Towson, MD.
