Building Inspector - Full Time with Benefits, 37.5 hours/week Qualifications
High School Education Minimum or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience in building construction
Must be Michigan License Act 407 Building Inspector, or be able to obtain this license from the State of Michigan within 6 months of employment.
Must have knowledge and experience with the Michigan Building Code
Must have knowledge and experience with the Michigan Residential Code
Michigan Driver’s License
General Computer skills
Knowledge of BS & A
Technical courses related to building construction, code enforcement, architectural engineering, and construction-related experience.
Work Effectively with the public
Prefer: Commercial Building, Zoning, & Property Maintenance & Housing Inspector
