Outpatient Palliative Team, NP/PA

ChristianaCare is searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its talented Supportive and Palliative Care team working in the Christiana and Wilmington hospitals located in Newark and Wilmington, Delaware respectively (30–45 minutes south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). Our interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse navigators, chaplains, and dedicated social workers. Ideal candidates will have a primary interest in doing outpatient consults and follow-up care, collaborating with specialists at our nationally recognized cancer center and other specialty care, teaching learners, and participating in on our program’s call coverage.
Interested candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be an excellent team player and educator, and be committed to continuous learning and personal growth. You will help provide clinical leadership and expertise within the palliative care clinical team and identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience of care and to improve the effectiveness of resource use.
The schedule will be four 10‑hour shifts per week with occasional on‑call and weekend coverage as necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements
Masters’ degree from an accredited program for graduate‑level nursing or Physician Assistant Studies with appropriate specialty certification
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the state of Delaware
FNP or Acute Care NP Certification required
Advanced Palliative Medicine Certification preferred; or attained within 2 years
Palliative care experience and experience as a provider preferred
BLS required
Annual Compensation Range: $112,714.00 – $138,575.00. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
