Daily mission: Support the accounting team by accurately processing financial transactions, assisting with auctions, and learning the systems and workflows that keep Richmond Auctions running smoothly. This is a growth role designed to evolve as the company continues to scale.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? As part of our finance team, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations across all auctions. You’ll help process invoices and payments, maintain customer accounts, assist with reconciliations, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth path from auction close to shipment.
This role offers hands‑on exposure to real‑world accounting in a growing auction business—with increasing responsibility over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P)
Draft invoices and process customer payments
Prepare daily deposits and basic reports
Enter and maintain accurate financial data
Reconcile customer payments with invoices
Assist with auction‑day registration, invoicing, and checkout
Update customer contact and shipping information
Communicate with shipping and operations teams post‑payment
Assist with basic bank and credit card reconciliations
Develop in depth understanding of our business to speak knowledgeably about our company
Ensure compliance with accounting principals and regulations
Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and data accuracy.
Support special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support experience
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel (formulas welcome)
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
Clear, professional communication skills
Exposure to QuickBooks or similar accounting software
