ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, pays out cash, and handles negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals and transfers (15% of time).
Sets up, closes, and balances teller station (10% of time).
Records sales of monetary instruments (5% of time).
Assists customers with inquiries in person or by telephone (10% of time).
Maintains neat and well‑stocked teller area (5% of time).
Cross‑sells bank products and services (5% of time).
Follows limits established for protection of customer accounts and bank safety and soundness (5% of time).
Adheres to bank policies and procedures (5% of time).
Lifts coin bags up to 50 lbs. (5% of time).
Assists with balancing Vault, ATM, Night Drop, and Coin Machine (5% of time).
Assists with proper scanning of bank documents and proof work (5% of time).
Exercise judgment when applying holds and making check‑cash decisions (10% of time).
Cross‑train to open basic new consumer accounts (5% of time).
Adheres to work schedule, with flexible availability (5% of time).
Maintains positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance (5% of time).
May be required to work an alternative location within the region or market (as needed).
Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner (daily).
Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned (quarterly).
Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 0‑6 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person‑to‑person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
Critical Thinking Skills Ability to use common sense to carry out simple multi‑step instructions. Ability to handle standardized situations with limited variables.
