Overview

Join AWS Data Center Technician: maintain global cloud infrastructure, perform hardware diagnostics, participate on‑call rotation, and support data centers 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

Install server racks and perform hardware break‑fix on servers, storage, and networking equipment. Troubleshoot network, server, and OS issues; operate on‑call and scheduled maintenance. Document incidents and propose process improvements. Collaborate with engineers, vendors, contractors; serve as primary contact for stakeholders. Interview, train, and onboard new team members.

Physical & Operational Requirements

Lift up to 40 lbs, work in cramped or elevated locations, bend, stretch, and reach. Stand and walk up to 8+ hours per day; shift work including nights, weekends, holidays. Work at multiple data centers; willingness to travel (over 50 miles) and work at alternate sites during training.

Basic Qualifications

18+ months computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience. 18+ months layer 1/2 networking experience. Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a data center or critical environment. Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience. CompTIA, CCENT, Network+ certifications. Experience with Linux or similar operating systems. Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience. Training and onboarding of new team members.

Work Schedule

24/7 operations in shift work: days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
